- updated score: 4/12/2016 (added the initially forgot text on mm. 48, 59, 81, where the measure plays 1 octave higher on repetition. Added a few slurs to make phrasing clearer)

Having become aware of the existence of the "Permanent International Competition On Piano Creativity", on Sept. 27, 2017, I submitted this piece for the consideration of the Committee.

On Nov 1, 2017, I was notified that the piece had been awarded (in "Noviembre"):

This piece was dedicated to my son. He has a little skin mark on his shoulder which does resemble a flying seagull. I take it has a presage he will fly high...

"Signals from space" - exercise

"Signals from space" - Exercise about:

- chromatic scales, both hands (fingering: 3-4-5 up, and 3-2-1 down)
- wide-spread accompaniment, left hand
- D.S., al coda notation

After studying this short etude, the piano keyboard will not look anymore the same to you. It will feel much smaller!   :-)
